We Work Well recently talked to Amir Hussein, President & CEO of Nelly De Vuyst. He told us that before every major trade show and corporate event he rallies his employees and some clients too and brings them out on a hike. Most recently he took his team up Grouse Mountain in Vancouver before the Nelly De Vuyst Symposium.
An active person himself, Amir started this initiative a few years ago. Nelly De Vuyst participates in over 50 trade shows and events per year. After a long day of setting up their booth indoors he thought it would be a great way to bring his employees together, by doing something active and fun outdoors. Amir told us, “when my team does these hikes together we get to see the surrounding area outside of the event venue. Most importantly we get to know each other on a much different, more personal level.” Plus he says, “it adds to the team spirit going in to the trade show.”
